    Change the Joomla Admin Passowrd screenshot

    If you can't remember your Joomla password or if you have lost it, read on the following simple step by step instructions to reset your Joomla Admin Password.

     

    1.Access your phpMyAdmin

     

    Find the phpMyAdmin link on your server. Below is a screenshot of a typical server cpanel display.

    2.Select the relevant database and table

    Once in the phpMyAdmin consol, find and click on the relevant database name to colapse all tables. Select the xxx_users table and click on edit (see image below):

    3.Change/ Reset the Password
    Find the row entitled password and change the value to 433903e0a9d6a712e00251e44d29bf87:UJ0b9J5fufL3FKfCc0TLsYJBh2PFULvT then click on the button "go" located at the bottom right of the page.This will change the password to the word "admin". See screenshot below.

    4. Log back in to your Joomla Admin

     

    Go back to your Joomla admin login page and enter your username and the word admin as password. Voila!
