Sometimes applications, programs or software we install automatically enable themselves within Windows 10 start-up. In other, each time you switch your PC or tablet on, the application, program or software initialise automatically. This can slow down your windows 10 start up process but also it's speed as the apps will continue working in the background using your computer memories and CPU.g

Fortunately, adding or removing an app or program from the star-up list is relatively easy. In this article, I explain how to enable or disable a program from windows 10 start-up processes list.

    • Open Your Task Manager
    • At the bottom right of your screen, type "task Manager" in the search box (see image). Click on the task manager link from the given list (should be a desktop app at the top of the given list).

    • Check your programs, app and/or software performance
    • In the task manager select the tab labelled Start-up highlight in green on our screenshot. You will be presented with 3 columns: Name (name of the app, program or software), Publisher (the app/ program owners), Status (Enabled or Disabled), Start-up impact. Start-up impact allows you to check the impact the program is having on your PC and is categorised in 4 sections: No measured, Low, Medium, High.
